Kansas Turkey Hunting with Czechland Outfitters
We have thousands of acres of private land that has an abundance of turkey. We primarily have Rio-Grande species with some Merriam/Rio Hybrid turkeys. Our properties are located in Unit #3 and allow hunters to take 1 bearded bird each. In past years we have experienced great success rates with 90% of the hunters killing one mature bird. We offer a semi-guided 3 day / 4 night hunt, lodging included.

Semi Guided Hunts
The outfitters will assist hunters in all ways, they will show the hunter the land, provide maps of their properties and show them where the birds are roosting and eating prior to the start of the hunt. A typical hunt consists of hunting the roost in the morning. Then mid morning thru the afternoon the turkeys are out feeding/breeding which require spot/stock hunting. Then in the evenings it is best to set up and wait for the turkeys to come back to roost.
Season
Our turkey season starts around the first week of April, with a 8-10 day Archery season. Regular shotgun season starts mid April and runs through the end of May.
Permits
Beginning in 2024, non resident spring turkey permits will be available only by lottery draw. The application period is 1/9/2024 - 2/9/2024. There are no paper applications of mail in forms. Non-Resident permits are only vaild in a single unit. If you are unsuccessful in the lottery draw, there will be leftover non-resident permits offered by the state on a first come basis.
Hunter Education
Hunter education is required if you were born after July 1, 1957. You must carry your card with you. If hunting in Kansas, you must have a hunting license plus your permit. The hunting license is good for the calendar year, and entitles you to hunt small game and game birds also.
